Grenada Accommodations
The Grenada hotel or guest house you choose will have a huge impact on
your stay in Grenada. So I've assembled a mini Grenada accommodations
guide below to help you make the best choice based on your taste and
affordability.
Most of Grenada hotels are located only minutes from the
airport on the south west coast, next to the best beaches on the
island. This also gives you great accessibility to the best restaurants
and, the capital city of St. George.
However, Grenada accommodations are not restricted to the
south west coast. You will find a few off the beaten path gems in other
parts of the islands.
Okay, let's get started. There are too many Grenada hotels for
me to list them all here. So what I've done is pull together a list of
those I have personally visited (to dine and hang out), and those that
I heard very good things about. The list will grow with time.
These will at least get you started. Any of the Grenada hotels
that did not make my list, may still be an excellent choice. There are
many online resources you can use to pull up a full listing, if you
need to see more.

Hotels don't work for everyone. Maybe you want more privacy, or maybe
you are traveling in a larger group, if so then
this Grenada Villa might be just what you are looking for.
Herons Flight is both attractive and affordable, it has many amenities
and is close enough to the well known hot spots.

Are you the kind of traveler who prefers to stay among the
locals so you can truly experience the island the way they do? Then
Olga's gives you that opportunity and more.
Olga's is located in a scenic village very close to the
National Stadium, the main town St. George's, and several popular
attractions. This quaint, affordable lodging, is perfect
for couples, or the solo traveler. Click here to read

BlueBay
Lodge

Here is a totally refreshing
concept.
BlueBay
Lodge is
off the normal tourist track, and it's main aim is to offer a real
Grenadian experience with local cuisine and the
atmosphere of
Gouyave.
They also make sure you get the usual stuff that you have come to
expect
on any Caribbean vacation (and more) like
island excursions, whale watching, snorkeling
diving etc...
Overall BlueBay Lodge has a lovely local atmosphere missing
from so many of the hotels and
resorts. The nice
thing is that they are situated on a quiet hill so if you want to avoid
the night life and enjoy Palmiste Bay you can!
Twelve Degrees North
Located in the south of the island among the
blue waters and white
sandy beaches. There are only 8 apartments ... and they are all self
contained with their own maid. No children, below the age of 15 are
accepted as guests. What the Twelve degrees lack in size it makes up in
service.
Calabash

My
Aunt worked
here a very long time ago under different management.
The Calabash is well established and has been around for quite some
time. It's located in L'Anse Aux Épines, in the south of the
island. Your own beach, intimate, private setting, your own maid, and
whirlpool suites.
The restaurant bears the name of the famous UK celebrity chef
Gary Rhodes, and it's his only restaurant outside of the UK.
Flamboyount

Of all the Grenada hotels the Flamboyount probably offers the best
views of the famous grand anse beach. It sits atop a hill at the south
end of the beach, amidst beautiful flamboyant trees. Walk and swim the
beach, relax pool side, marvel at the beautiful sunsets, and indulge in
the appetizing food from their restaurant.
La Sagesse Nature Centre

I know ... the name does not sound
like a hotel. Well it's actually a
cottage Inn, Restaurant and Beach Bar. La Sagesse is is one of the off
the beaten path Grenada hotels. It's about 25 minutes drive from the
town of St. George. Once the site of a colonial estate, La Sagesse is a
tropical garden siting right on the beach. There are only 12 rooms, and
the beach, although public is not the most popular among locals ... so
you get the picture, it's a perfect romantic hideaway.

Sagesse Nature Centre ...
Bel Air Plantation

When you hear of Bel Air Plantation, think peace and tranquility in an
upscale setting. Located on Grenada's Atlantic coast in the parish of
St. Davids it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist
hub to the south.
Private Villas and Cottages nestled among tropical gardens offer
splendid views. Expect 5-star cuisine, fantastic cocktails,
and all the other amenities and luxuries you demand from a top notch
resort.
True Blue Bay Resort

I had driven by True Blue Bay
several times before I finally popped in. When I did I could not
believe that such a beautiful gem awaited me. Perfectly located almost
at Grenada's southern most tip it offers views of the
intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
The beautiful flowers of Grenada are captured throughout the well
manicured grounds. It's a place for families and lovers alike.
True Blue Bay is also home to Grenada's finest Yacht
Charters. The staff is friendly and aim to please. Checkout the Resort
Activities you won't be bored.
Blue Horizon Garden Resort

Grenada's lush tropical gardens and
its stunning beaches is what make it so special. And the Blue Horizon
Resort brings out Grenada's best.
It's walking distance from the world famous Grand Anse Beach, and your
villa sits within one of those beautiful tropical
gardens. Expect the exceptional Grenadian hospitality from the
staff and do check out the fine La Belle Creole restaurant.
Laluna

Perfect for a romantic gateway. Laluna is located only a few minutes
from the airport and with only 16 cottages you will feel like you have
to place all to yourself.

friendly staff you can't help but enjoy your stay at Laluna
